A Himalayan salt lamp is a solid block of mined rock salt with a globe inside it. The colour comes from the mineral content in the stone rather than from any coating, which is why no two are the same shade and why the light is warmer than any bulb on its own.

This is the smaller of the two, sized for a bedside table or a desk, with a dish on top for essential oil so it works as a gentle diffuser as well.

Salt draws moisture from the air. In a humid room the surface may weep slightly, which is normal for natural salt. Wipe it dry and keep it off unsealed timber.
