Eucalyptus Essential Oil

You know this one before anybody tells you its name.

It is the bush after rain, and a house thrown open on the first warm morning of the year. Sharp, camphorous, and clean in a way no manufactured fragrance quite manages.

Put it on in a bathroom or a laundry and the room reads as aired out rather than perfumed. That is a different thing, and most people can tell the difference without knowing why.

• The oil most often used to open up a blend that has come out too heavy
• Pairs with peppermint, lemon, rosemary and tea tree
